Crunch Time

So we're down to 31 days!! That means crunch time...lots of little things to get done.

But before all that, an update on what we've been doing the past couple of weeks.

We met with our DJ and got some details nailed down. He let us know what information he needed and we have given him what we can at the moment. We have a tentative schedule for the reception. Now we just need to work on the songs that we absolutely want played that night.

I had my family/friend shower on the 25th. It was a great time with my mom, my second "mom" Cindy Wickboldt, and some close friends from college. We played fun games, I opened some presents, and we had some yummy food, especially the cupcakes Melinda made. They were absolutely FANTASTIC. Even the leftovers were still moist and delicious a few days later. If you live in the Chicago area, you should order from her -- check out the Facebook page for "Oh Sweetness".

And we've done a bunch of little things, such as:
- bought our reception favors and the place cards
- bought the guest book
- picked the hymn and got the music to our pianist
- picked Scripture readings
- had a trial run on my hair
- got the marriage certificate
- started working on the program for the ceremony
- decided on what to serve at the social following the ceremony
- completed the pre-marriage counseling questions and have appointments with our pastor over the next two weeks to discuss them

The next two weeks will be very busy. We meet with pastor three times. We are meeting our photographer next week to go over the schedule for the day and decide on must-take pictures. I have my work/church bridal shower on the 16th. My bachelorette party is the following Saturday. And there's still a bunch of small, but important details to take care of before I become a Cosby.

Amazingly enough, both of us have maintained a low stress level about wedding stuff. But we can feel it starting to build as we get closer because we want to make sure everything we need to do gets done, and that everyone involved with the wedding knows what's going on and when.

If you haven't RSVP'd yet, please do so ASAP!!!

That's all for now folks!!
